Ok ... finally got around to working on my son's LST2. The easiest, since we have two, was to just swap out the rear diffs. However, his diff works fine in mine and his is still front-wheel drive...

Before I pull the diff, does anyone else have any suggestions? Does the described issue lean towards something wrong in the diff and not the trans?

The pin is in place in the cup as is the pins at the trans. If I tilt the truck up on one side and turn the drive shaft (front or back), the side with the wheels in the air turn together.
