RE: hacker A3028 cc 25 set up

The TP V2 Pro-Lite packs are more "up to the task" and holding voltage better under load.

FYI on the A30-28S, a 25amp ESC is not going to be enough under most 3D applications, obviously...

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40

Yep, it's a totally different plane this light. It was fantastic at 28oz., but now it's just a blast. Nothing really special either, like I said, wheelpants and spinner are still on. Didn't use...

RE: What motor for 3DHS Extra 300 SHP

Look at the OMEGA 103G-1030 made by 3D Hobby Shop. It's a few bucks more than the Turnigy, but it's backed by 3DHS support and customer service.

RE: APC 13x6.5 or Xoar 13x6

Xoars definitely "feel" better, look better, and sound cleaner. You will get less amps. If you wanted to keep the amp draw similar, a 13x7 Xoar would do that.

RE: Problem with eletric setup..Please help

definitely sounds like timing.

Not familiar with that ESC, but try Hard/Fast timing and Fast Acceleration if you have those options.

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40

Just getting back "in-touch" with the thread. ;)

It's been a while, so I am sure this has been figured out, but expect about 5-6 min. out of that setup.

RE: Help with setup?

With the Thunderbird 54 ESC, if you are not going to use a seperate BEC, you are going to be limited to 3s LiPo's. The A30-10XL will run great on either 3s or 4s.

The plane specs. that I could...

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40" EDGE 540 Build & Fly

I was lucky enough to get 4 more flights in yesterday morning. First time out in about 3 weeks, but you wouldn't have know it with how good the plane made me look :D:) I love how easy it is to get...

RE: 3_d plane for 2100 mah

With 20C packs, you could get up into some of the 47"+/- wingspan if you wanted to. Not sure if that is bigger than you are looking to go?

RE: Motor for 3DHS 47" SHP?

My 2cents, it's too heavy and won't really let the plane shine. 3.6-4.25 oz. is a nice range for good 3D performance on a 3s power system. I have the 2818 in mine at 3.67oz and it flies fantastic.

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40" EDGE 540 Build & Fly

About 4-1/2 minutes with a couple medium vertical climbs. Lots of low level hover and harrier, and not a ton of throttle.

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40" EDGE 540 Build & Fly

That's good power on a 30oz. plane :D

I am only running a 13C-20C Thunder Power 1320mah Pro-Lite battery. Wanted to go as light as possible and this battery with a deans plug is only 3oz.

RE: EF EXTRA 58", KATANA 50E, WHAT ELSE?

If you want to stay around the 58" +/- wingspan, I would take a look at the 3DHobbyShop 55" Extra SHP and the 55" EDGE 540. Just a little smaller, maybe the 51" AJ Slick. Very nice quality kits,...

RE: 3D Hobby Shop 40" EDGE 540 Build & Fly

The build compilation has slowed a little, hopefully I can get back to it sometime this week.

I now have 26 flights on this little beauty and every time out is better than the last. I am still...

RE: Looking For a Good 50 Inch 3D??

I second the 3dhobbyshop notion.

In the 50"+/- range, definitely look at the 51" Slick designed by Andrew Jesky.
