RE: Second Sport Plane Recommendation

I'll bet the Hanger 9 Pulse XT 46 would work out well with your equipment.

RE: Charging with triton

I have that charger and was disappointed. Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't have enough capacity to charge a 6S pack much over 2.5 amps. When charging my 5S packs it will only put out a max of 2.8...

RE: Hobby king lipoly batteries

Not sure why some of you have so many problems with Hobby King. I have placed at least 20 orders with them over the past 2 years. I've purchased motors, ESC's, and numerous other parts from them and...

RE: New prop and spinner for Pulse XT40

I thought I might post another tidbit of info, I've found to be true, over the years.
A while back I was flying a newly built plane with a power system that was kindda borderline. After test...

RE: New prop and spinner for Pulse XT40

You actually fly that thing with that little prop?.....Have you ever put a watt meter on it to see where you are?. I have the very same plane with the same motor and speed controller. I've been...

RE: Is this cell dead in a tunigy lipo back?

I had a pack or two that had a bad solder joint on one of the leads to the balance tap.

RE: What did you start with ?

I started with a HobbyZone Super Cub.....It pretty much flys itself. Once I got serious I destroyed 3 Mini Ultra Stiks in as many flights.....After that I actually fles a Mini Pu...Then another Mini...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I have been flying my Mini Pulse with an E-Flight Park 450 for 4 years. My flying buddy also has one with a Park 450. The planes fly beautifully on this a combo, using a 2100 ma 3S 15C lipo. I've...

RE: E-Flite S-75 Servo problem

I have used many E-Flight S-75 servos over the past 5 years. I have stripped a few and had a few go wacky, but for the most part, they are pretty good. I would say just scrap that one and get another.

RE: AR500 blinking light

So, in other words....it's normal????.....That seems a little strange.....How does the RX know the difference if I flipped a switch or just unplugged the battery.....Unless you are saying that it...

AR500 blinking light

I am new to Spektrum radios, so if this has been asked, before, forgive me.
I recently purchased a DX7 and 2 AR500 RX's. I went through the setup in two planes. The first one, I did a few weeks...

Hobby City battery packs

I am curious....To all the Hobby City lipo users, out there. Of the three labels, (Zippy, Turnigy, Rhino) which seems to be the best as far as the discharge rates being what they say they are...

RE: Are you a member of a club?

I started flying about 5 summers ago, with a Firebird Freedom. Moved up to a HobbyZone Super Cub and a couple of GWS foamies. All this was done solo in parks, soccer fields, etc., until I bought my...

RE: BEC Question

Switch mode BEC's can usually handle a higher input voltage as they generate less heat. However, they are still limited, in the voltage they can handle, by the internal components.

Before you...

RE: BEC Question

The built in voltge regulator in most ESC's is designed to provide the proper voltage to the reciever to power it and the servo's. The internal circuitry is designed to function at a maximum of 14...

RE: backyard flyer for a Park 400 outrunner

Most of the GWS foamies work well with the Park 400. I had a GWS Tiger Moth 400 and a GWS E-Starter built with that power system and it was dynamite

RE: BEC voltage output?

I used that ESC in my E-Flight Texan. According to the instructions, a separate RX battery was not required. I was running two servo's for the ailerons, two for the flaps, one for the retracts, one...

RE: Hot Motor

To give a logical answer, a lot more information is needed....What Plane, what power system, what prop, etc.

RE: Yak 54 suggestions

I would use the Monster Power 25 that Nitroplanes sells. It's good for 500+ watts and would be good on 4S. Or you could go light and use the MonsterPower 15 on 3S....It will crank 425 watts....That...

RE: What size props

Hard to say, exactly, but I'm thinking about a 10X7 APC thin electric or maybe even an 11 X 6.5 APC thin electric. I run a 12 X 6 on mine, but I pull the whole 375 watts on mine.....You're looking at...

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

For those using the higher KV motors I would suggest using a 10 X 5 APC. The 10 X 7 is taxing the Park 450 as it is and if you run it wide open will definately warm the motor. I tried an AXI, a while...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

The Dubro parkflyer skis are made from injection molded plastic. It becomes more brittle as the temps drop. As long as the snow is light and fluffy, it is not a problem. However, the snow needs to be...

RE: What is the slowest, most forgiving electric park trainer

I would stay with GWS but the E-Starter is the way to go for a beginner. Not only will it fly slow, but it is very forgiving. It can be purchased w/brushed motor and gearbox for around the same price...
