RE: Do I want to build a Carden?

my $.02.....you won't regret building a Carden. Nothing flies better than a kit-built plane....and there are no better kits out there than Carden. Everything from placing your order, to packaging,...

RE: Painting

I tried the Nelson paints awhile back, but cant say I'd recommend them. I had color match problems with almost every color...(orange, true red, royal blue, and even white)....also they just don't...

RE: BBW Yak 32%

Yup....i currently own both....flew them both a bunch over the summer....and loved 'em both. The Yak is about a pound heavier than the 260. My 260 ended up a few oz over 27lbs...the yak about 28 1/2....

RE: Cuda motor box

I think I'm having trouble fully understanding the problem. If all you've glued together so far is the firewall, the motorbox sides, and the back plate....and maybe the landing gear block....there's...

RE: BIG BIRDS at TORKS

Ha! yea, the edge had a rough day....one of the wheels fell off on landing.....the landing gear dug in and it nosed over breaking the prop and bending the muffler.

Thanks for the compliment on...

RE: carden 35% 260 liftoff

you know...i bet you could move the 2 bottom trusses up an inch or two and build a balsa tunnel under them and you wouldn't lose any strength...you'd still have to cut the foam bottom deck out to fit...

RE: carden 35% 260 liftoff

it could be done, but I think the pipes would be exposed behind the motorbox. I don't think there's 2.5" clearance between the bottom truss work and the bottom foam deck. You'd have to notch out the...

RE: Optical kill Switch

gotta agree with the other two here....love my smart-fly optical kill switch...stupid-simple and reliable! No more mechanical ign. switch...just the cut-off....now one fail-safe switch controls the...

RE: Thanks Aerotech

nobody comes forward to complain online because the forums just shut-down threads like this that say anything negative about a company. I doubt this thread even lasts through the afternoon.

RE: Quick Release canopy for Carden 35% Extra

I did it on a 35% 330 I built a few years back. I used the graupner hatch latches mentioned above...bought them from hobby lobby. I glued the latches to the side rails of the hatch, with the lever...

RE: 40% 260 on a Diet

:D sure, I'll bite.

I'm working on a 35% 260 that's at nearly the same stage as your pics and it currently weighs 2lbs 13oz. So I'll guess the 40%'er being a little longer and wider is maybe...

RE: Extra 300 Prototype #2

I don't think anyone is saying the L bracket WON'T cause failure if it's the ONLY anti-rotation method used.
