yea, its a 6717/3 and Ive also tried a prather 275 but it pulls the engine down in the turns. The 6717 is the way to go for me.

First run today;

Sorry no pics or video because no one else showed up to hold the camera...

Break-in was smooth, absolutely no rudder trim needed; the strut shim was perfect!

Heres a video of the first crank, it fired up on the 3rd pull. Ive got the grip button on my 3PK set up as a throttle kill. Works nicely.

Thanks, its been fun so far. I have never built a gas boat before and alot of thanks goes to Will (Believe It) for all his knowledge and help...and everyone else who aided me:D Saturday and Sunday...

The rubber around the pipe is a 5/16" piece of fuel line cut down the middle. Its a nice and tight fit.

Motor is in, pipe exit cut in the transom, need to put some rubber in there to keep the pipe snug.
Center of gravity is 33%

Got the base coat on today. Sprayed, wetsanded with 600 grit, sprayed again. Another coat tomorrow and then its time for the other colors.

This color is Tamiya TS-47 Yellow Chrome.

Heres a little update;

I got the Top Secret gear installed, installed the digital servos and added a divider in the radio box. Got the fuel tank in place and installed the water line bulkheads....

The radio box.

I used some foam from my futaba 3pks hardcase and cut it to fit the receiver, 7.4volt lipo pack, and 6volt regulator.
