To smooth the foam, get the light weight spackle, mix 50/500 with water and brush it on the foam. Let dry and lightly sand. The spackle will fill the foam and give you a smooth surface...

I use the Hitec HFS-04MG exclusively for combat now. I've been using them for over a year without a single glitch. They are $20 cheaper than the 555's, so you can buy 3 for the price of 3 555's.

If you order from Winsor, you can still specify the black props, but they've changed the formulas and now they are just as bad as the blue ones... Guess they needed to increase their bottom lines,...

I guess the easiest answer would be the one most people fly in your area, or at your field. There is nothing like experience when it comes to setting up a new plane that no one around you is familar...

not too many combat regulars go to the expense of using cf in the leading edge. I much easier/cheaper/lighter method is to wrap the le from root to tip with the Scotch Extreme application...
