RE: Antenna Position as Far as the Planes of Said Antennas

Well the short answer to that would be "yes". Any other configuration would result in a distorted antenna pattern. Now that's not necessarily bad, it's just unpredictable. Keep 'em straight out...

RE: Antenna Position as Far as the Planes of Said Antennas

Dwayne, you have to realize you're getting the message third hand: "he said, that she said, that someone else said" etc. Perhaps the technician said that it wouldn't hurt anything to mount them...

RE: JR 12X battery

I've done a couple of searches for that Hyperion LiFe 2300mah. Where did you get it?

@zeeb, my first battery also only lasted a couple of months. The one in there now has lasted over 2 years....

RE: JR 12X battery

Ok, I'll jump in with a question. I've had my 12X for almost 3 years. I don't use their charger. I've been using my lipo chargers, a Bantam DC6 or DC8dx, and set it to NIMH. I bought a compatible...

RE: dx18

How does it fit in a carrying case? I have a JR case that fits 2 transmitters, my 12x and my backup dx6i. It doesn't look like it can fit that kind of case.

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.

Andy, it sounds like if you own Android you'll have to wind up writing your own app if you want Spectrum telemetry. You'd think HH could just contract out someone to write the app for Pete's sake. ...

RE: Important Spektrum and JR DSMX Transmitter Bulletin

Zeeb,

To be sure, it could be a total electric power failure. No argument there. In this case there's just no way to be sure. That's why I raised the question. But the fact that you have had...

RE: Important Spektrum and JR DSMX Transmitter Bulletin

Jezmo,

Ok, I took your advice but I didn't call. I sent them an email. I don't expect much but maybe I'll be surprised. The plane I lost was actually one I built for my son and it was...

RE: Important Spektrum and JR DSMX Transmitter Bulletin

This is all very interesting. I have a 12X which I had upgraded to DSMX about 2 months ago. I was flying one of my older planes 2 days ago, an F27C Stryker, with a 6100 rx and lost the plane. It...

RE: How to program 2 elevator servos on a Spektrum DX7 with an AR7000 receiver

Mastertech,

I have a 12X and was trying to follow what you were saying but I'm not sure things are the same on this TX. Do you know how you would do the same thing on the 12X? I presume the RX...

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.

Andy! Dude!

Think of all what things that could happen with an iPhone interface? I could give a flip really. Don't own one. Don't want one. All I need is telemetry info about battery level....

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.

Ok Andy, I see your point. But I do think I am being realistic. I mean what does it have to do? All it has to do is display some data on a screen and beep at you when something like battery...

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.

Andy. Dude! "What would be the purpose?" Ummm, Andy, what about those of us who puke at the idea of owning anything Apple? My cell phone provider is Sprint and I use PC's in my professional life....

Ok great. At least it's good to know that it's not a stupid idea. I hear you on the major programming effort, so thanks for the answer. Now I know I have to figure out how to do this on my own. ...

RE: Solar Flare's & RC System's

It's a darn good question but I don't know the answer. But as a generality it's likely that a severe storm could damage our transmitters and receivers if we're flying during its peak time.

RE: Spektrum DSMX

HOLY COW! What a FABULOUS looking bird. I was an NFO student in '74. Everyone wanted to get a Tomcat seat, only 2 available for my class. I was 4th in the class. Still jealous of the F14 jocks...

RE: 12x usb drivers for window 7

Right. That's what I said but that's not my question. What I'm asking is what can you do on your PC if you connect to the 12X? What does that do for you? Can you download and save all your...

RE: 12x usb drivers for window 7

Ok, I have a 12X and 64 bit Vista. Drivers should be the same as Win7. But what do you do with a PC and a 12X?

RE: Triggering lights on DX6i Aux?

Actually it's not a function of the tx that is involved here. The rx is the problem. They aren't designed to put out a dc voltage that you can turn on and off. His DX6i should do as well as any...

I've thought about doing that a while ago. Here are a couple of links:

This is a kit to make a relay that will turn on your lights. The...

RE: Official F27 Stryker Part 8: Beginners to Custom Darkness

Thanks Gryphon. That graph does help. But now I remember why I always hated courses related to power, mag fields, and motors in physics and why I avoided those courses and stuck to signals and...
