I like the fact that the wheel wells are not installed at the factory. That way you have access to the wing internals to do some reinforcing. Looking forward to hearing how well this plane flies....

I hope the Top Flite P51 does not get discontinued in favor of the Hangar 9 Mustang. I have read about too many problems with the Hanger 9 Mustang like wing failures, etc.

The Tower add says it will weigh about 25 pounds. Top Flites 85 inch wingspan warbirds usually weigh about 23 pounds using 60 cc engines. This Spit is only 1-2 pounds heavier so my guess is a DA60...

Why not just use what the engine manufacturer recommends. They know best since they designed the engine. DA recommends 91/93 octane from a brand name gas station.
