Good choice, the K5.9 engine in the XL is garbage. Did you get the New Savage X 4.6 with the 2.4ghz radio? That's a nice truck with pretty much all you need to get started.

Ihave a 7955TG on my Sav XL and so far it's been great. I've only been running it for a month tho. It's pretty TOUGH cuz I've bent an alum servo horn and went thru like 2 of those little plastic rods...
