Check the third dial on the transmitter. It controls how much you can steer. You may have it dialed down to zero.

Yeah new engines are a pain to start until you get them broken in. The roto start is certainly worth it, even if you just get the back plate and drill wand, you can use a drill to start it.

Get a drill starter plate and drill wand for about $25 and you'll save your self a lot ofaggrevation. You can get the whole starter kit, but I had to replace the switches on both my starters.

I think I'm going to have to get a flat head screw to handle the slim clearance between the arm and the servo.

I tried a 4-40 screw with a nylon nut but because the profile between the arm and the servo is slim, the nut hits the base of the servo. Has anyone used this part? I was wondering if it held up...

Well I purchased two Red Cat Starters and both crapped out in a few days. It seems the switches on them melt and jam up. I don't think the plastic used is designed to be used around a high heat...
