RE: what is the name of this plane

I'll put my money on a Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 with full ailerons built, instead of the standard ones. There is even a little tower sticker on the aileron that may be a hint.

RE: Tower trainer

If the little bit of extra money isn't an issue for the 60 size trainer, go for the 60. It'll fly smoother and better. The 61 four stroke would be plenty for it, even as would a 46 two stroke. ...

RE: GreatPlanes P-40 ARF .25/EP, What The...?

A few of us (myself included) fly them with GMS 32's. They scoot really well and are a lot of fun to fly. They have held up pretty darn well too for such an inexpensive plane.

In other words,...

RE: advice: which mini table saw to buy?

Just buy yourself a decent band saw. I can rip 1/16 inch thick 36 inch long pieces of bass wood or balsa all day long with mine, and it's a thousand times safer than trying to do it using a table...

RE: mojo 40 or primo 40

I had a mojo-40 and flew the pants off of it until I dumb-thumbed it. I have a primo 40 all built, just need to put in the engine and receiver. I tried it out because I've already had two mojo's...

RE: AMR Giant Stick 50

For an average seasoned builder, how long does it take to put one of these things together? I've been working on a giant P47 for an eternity, and the engine and servos would fit right in this thing. ...

Brand New Airtronics 94102Z Servo Slop

Hey Everyone-

I bought 10 new ones when Hobby People had them on sale. Took the first out of the package today to use. It has so much slop in it I can't even put it on a control surface! Not...

RE: what is a dual conversion receiver???

If you're relatively new to the hobby and shopping for receivers and am not sure what dual conversion means, do yourself a favor and pick up a 2.4 ghz radio. They're virtually foolproof. Learn how...

RE: Flying Field Travel Distance

Yeah, I hear you about too far to walk. My club is over a mile away, being nearly 1.25 miles from home. I suppose I could walk, but there are no sidewalks. If I break a prop, I tell the guys to...

RE: GMS motors

Just an FYI, Hobby People has the Magnum 91 two stroke on sale for $99 with free shipping. If I didn't just buy one, I'd get another.

RE: 1/4 servos or not ?

That's a neat kit. It's on my short list to build after a few other projects.

A large percentage of the modestly higher end standard sized servos have more power than those old 1/4 scale...

RE: *Airtronics RD8000 2.4 GH*

Anyone notice these are on sale at Hobby People with a single receiver for $149 yet? Why on earth would anyone spend a penny on any radio but one of these is beyond me....

RE: Hobbico Charger

It just has an internal timer. If it doesn't peak within the time limit, it stops and beeps and lets you know. Turn up the amperage so it charges quicker, or figure out why it didn't peak. You can...

RE: Futaba radio giving trouble??

Get yourself a 2.4 ghz radio and don't look back. They are getting so cheap, that I wouldn't recommend putting any money into fixing a 72 mhz one. I used to have similar problems in a certain spot...

RE: egine for sig wonder

I have one with a 15 LA that does about 85 (edit: from a radar gun). It's a blast to fly, and probably the most fun one could have with three ounces of glow fuel.

Also have another one nearly...

RE: goldberg ultimate engine choice?

I've got one with a YS 1.10, and wouldn't want anything less. Plus, this plane deserves the sound of a four stroker.

RE: kit for .25 engine??

I second the taco. I've had one of those, and it was a blast. My 25fx is recently available again, and was thinking of building another one. I dumb-thumbed the last one. But, it was a ton of fun.

Add another recommendation from me for the Airtronics. It's ridiculously easy to use and program, and it just works. I've flown Futaba exclusively for some time, and I'll never go back. Add in the...

Turns out I...

RE: *Airtronics RD8000 2.4 GHz*

I'm itching to get mine in. It's back ordered at Tower and says late Feb on the web site. Anyone know a date when the transmitters are supposed to get in?

They have the receivers in stock there,...
