RE: ucando 46

I've been flying a UCD 46 for 6-7 years on an OS 91 four-stroke and a 14x4 prop- a great combination. Your 61 should be a good match - just don't fly it full throttle unless you're climbing. The...

Lazy Bee 48" wing - engine question

I picked up a partially built kit this weekend - a Clancy Lazy Bee with the 48" wing. The gentleman previously building it has done a good job, just got to finish the nose of the fuselage and the...

RE: Funfly biplane?

I have the GP Skybolt ARF and the GP Reactor bipe. Both are powered by OS 91 four strokes. Both are fun to fly, but the Reactor is even easier to fly than the Skybolt.

RE: GAMA Swap meet Perry GA

I agree, it seemed to be a buyer's market, but I sold almost everything and ended up buying a NIB Great Planes DR 1 and some other stuff I really needed. Met some really nice folks and renewed some...

Dynaflite SE 5a vs. BUSA Dr. 1

Hi all,

I am just finishing the build on my Dynaflite SE 5a (ready to cover) and have thoroughly enjoyed the kit. I've been following the BUSA Dr. 1 build in this forum and wondered if some of you...

RE: Perry Meet 09

I will be bringing a Global Fokker D VII, H9 p-40, 54" quaker with OS .15 la, and a Twinstar, along with some other odds and ends. I am hoping gas prices stay down 'til time for the show. At least...

RE: Dallaire Sportster questions

Dave and Tim;

I built a Dallaire Sportster from a Penn Valley Hobby kit last summer, and built it with the full 9" of dihedral under each wing tip. Powered with an OS 70 four-stroke, it is a...

RE: UCANDO 3D 46.. What Four Stroke for it?

I've been flying a 91 Surpass in my U-Can-Do for almost three years - with a 14X4 prop it is absolutely the most fun-to fly airplane I have ever owned. Performance is anything you could ever desire,...

Dallaire Sportster 108 " question

I am nearing completion of a Dallaire kit with the 108" wing. When I checked the location of the dowels in the fuselage for the rubber bands to hold the wing, the rubber band must be enormous to...

RE: OS .32 MUSTANG!!

Yes, it is true. The .32 SX is discontinued. If you want one, I suggest looking on that auction site. They show up NIB and lightly used all the time.

I've not run one myself, but I have been...

RE: What's the best prop to break in my OS55AX?

That prop will be fine for break in. When you mount it try something like an APC 13x4.

This engine is a tourqer, and doesn't mind a big prop. I have run as much as a Zinger 14x4 wide blade on...

RE: Great Planes U-Can-Do 3D ARF - 46

I am flying a U-Can -Do 46 with a OS 91 four stroke and a 14X4 prop. Most fun I've had flying a plane! Just watch your speed on the down lines and this plane will do almost anything.

RE: Four Star 60 Engine and Prop Size

I flew a 4 Star 60 for several years with an OS 91 FX - it was a great match-up. Based on your criteria, I would go with the larger 2 stroke. You will enjoy the extra power and it won't overstress...

RE: Spectrum DS821 Servo

I like the DS821s. I'm using them on a .60 size profile and haven't had any trouble. They aren't lightning fast, but they are plenty strong and the resolution is great. They are the only digital...

RE: M.E.N. Buzzard Bombshell - how old is this kit?

Dan, thanks - in 1963 I was around, but not quite old enough to be building and flyin' rc!! I thought I remembered reading RCM in high school (1969-72), but I just wasn't sure.

M.E.N. Buzzard Bombshell - how old is this kit?

I recently acquired a M.E.N. Buzzard Bombshell kit, but I am not sure how old this kit really is. The kit came with an ad for RCM subscription which listed RCM as starting their 13th year - but I am...

RE: Swap meet old timers

Finally got a chance to fly without wind - both planes flew great, but I think I like the buzzard bombshell best. Long flights, great flight times - just enjoyable in every aspect of the flight.

RE: Swap meet old timers

Hey John, mine is a 67" span model, I balanced it at 30% from the leading edge. Flew her today and that seems to be about right on.

Swap meet old timers

I traded for a couple of old timers in serious need of some TLC at the Perry swap meet. Now after a little re-covering, general maintenance, installing radio and engines both are RTF. The Buzzard...
