Took a look at your site Mart. Very impressed. I know if I were to ever get an Apache I would want one like yours.

RE: My new 58
She weighs in at 11.6lb,thats with the carbon rienforcement and rails transom wood etc.Not lightweight and not too heavy when ive compaired to other hulls the same size.I think ive got a happy medium between strength and weight.First one should be racing in a few weeks ,i hope to get some video of that.I will be getting this one wet in about 4-5 weeks myself so ill def have some video of one or both very soon.

Don't want to beat this name thing over the head to much but , these look nice and should be named accordingly. Calling an apache anything else seems wrong to me. It looks like an apache longbow. An apache navaho just isn't write. Its kinda like a chevrolet ford or a jaguar fiat. Your hull with the single vein could be called a navaho with model names for the different hatches and perhaps sizes you intend.
example: Navaho brave
'' windwalker
Apache longbow
'' warrior
Hope you don't mind my opinion. By the way it looks like you're endeavouring to keep the weight down and the strength up wich is aplaudible. I'm stripping my 57in capricorn apache down later this week and I'll put it on the scale to give you a comparison.

Hey Mart, your new hulls look awesome! Neat, neat, neat! Might I suggest a name I'm kinda partial to? How about the Waverider Chief, and the Waverider Warrior? Think about it, haha.

Hey Mart, thanks for the line on the Arrowshark engine. I've kinda postponed that build for a while. I just picked up a cheap CY off ebay for now so I can at least keep up with my buddys Shockwave. Can't really afford to spend on something and regret it , especially when interesting things like that RCMK twin are comming down the pipe.
On that extended strut speed theory, I was told this 10 years ago when I first built mine and never questioned why or what its draw backs are. My next set up I was thinking of something just 4in off with a skeg. Do you think the skeg is just a bid drag or is it worth a little stability?
Oh ya, I put the the Capricorn on the scales and shes just over a full stone.

i also looking at getting the longer stinger too when the cash flow will let me as mark said it also helps too to control the boat better at high speed with the longer stringer.
also may be intrested in the 29cc conversion too for the spare zen i will have laying around but still unsure on that

RE: My new 58
Hi Phil as yet no paperwork as theyre changing the name of the org so might take a while but Mark tells me we are all covered for insurance so no probs.I got number 58 to match the boat as i asked for ,i wont ask why you wanted 69 .Yea i like the stingers ,Mark brought one to show me and theyre awesome the shaft runs so smooth i spun that prop and it just kept spinning and no bearings just bushes.Best stinger ive ever seen, absoluteley the dogs wotsits lol.Ill be getting one later but for now im setting mine up with a standard strut setup so i can get her wet when we get home.As for that engine [X(],loveley mate i cant wait to see it go but think they still have some work to do on it yet before its gonna be on sale but not sure.

RE: My new 58
Heres a few pics of the hardware mounted and the engine sat in the hull, still need to cut the pipe exit hole in the transom and i want to space off the strut a little also maybe 1/8" to allow better adjustment as the strut is tight against the transom.Tank will be made using the alluminium water bottle and the radio box needs to sit lower so ill cut the stringers for that and the box will be set off to the right a bit.Eventually i want to use the large stinger i posted the pics of but for testing ill use what i have, engine is a full mod zen and im using my old 2" alluminium band pipe and stainless 90% header.

Hi Hibbs,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not sure there are many mono plans floating around for a hull that is real close to the apache. If you look through some of these threads in this search you might find some ideas - [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/searchpro.asp?phrase=Plans&fuzzyMatch=on&author=&forumid=77&forumid=236&topicreply=combined&message=both&timeframe=%3E&timefilter=0&language=single&top=500&criteria=AND&minRank=0&sortMethod=d&submitbutton=+OK+]Search for plans[/link]
