If he has 1/8 and you beat him with a 1/10 revo ( im shure you would) he will just bich and moan and call you a cheater and say it was unfair. FRom my experiences I advise you to get a 1/8 truggy so it will be "equal"[sm=wink_smile.gif]

I was compareing the dimensions and the savage is classed as 1/8 but the dimensions are almost the same as the revo , savage is just a bit bigger. So the motor size, like the 3.3 is smaller than the 4.1 in the savage? Sorry I sound dumb but I dont know anythig about these and wanna get a good truck that will really rip and I can upgrade later.

RE: Which truck to buy.
the revos are more for racing meanwhile a savage has more torque and is a better basher ( tougher) and the revo has way better handling. my bro has a savage and i hav a revo 3.3 and beleive it or not after he did some tuning he beat me on staight drag on the blacktop. oh and by the way a savage X's engine is a 4.07ci and a .24 cc and the 3.3's is, well, 3.3ci and .20-.21 cc

for the savage u would need a glow plug ignitor...IMO that is one reason i like the revo is the ez start. i think revo's are very durable. Also alot eaiser to fix. and have insane power. i have a 2.5r and i think its fast i cant even imagine what its like with an OS or a Picco. but yes defintly revo.

RE: Which truck to buy.
What is the easy start on the revo? is it just a built in glow plug ignitor, also are both trucks pull start if so will any starter work with them?

RE: Which truck to buy.
the revo wins in every catigory go with the revo, way more upgrades and parts avalible. if you get the savvy you will always wish you had a revo when your out with people who have then. Do the research the revo is sinply a better truck, check mine out, and you will see you could never make a savvy compare.

RE: Which truck to buy.
i was in the same boat 2 weeks ago. it was a toss up between the savage and the Tmaxx.
the Tmaxx guys said get a Tmaxx and the savage guys said get the savage.
i just decided to get the one i thought looked the coolest.
i got a second hand one out of the clasified section of this forum and i could not be happier.
came with a few allmost manditory upgrades already instaled and was pricticaly brand new.
besides looking cool ,the 2 other reasond were that my local hobbie shop caries only traxxas stuff,so that is handy.
and the traxxas looked easier to work on. it has simple suspention and a simple flat pan chassis, every thing is rite there.
i got the 3.3 and i like it. you will like it to.
and i am no racer so i think things like reverse and optidrive, and onboard electric start and glow is cool as $#IT.
buying out of teh classifieds is teh way to go. i got a set of extra everything. and gears and axles, you name i have 10 pounds of extra plastic crap. i can crash this thing for years and never buy nothing. i even got a set of RPM Aarms uninstaled with it. and a reverse deliet kit. a extra servo and a servo rebuild kit. oils of all kinds.. bodys. tool box , batterys. nice JR radio. extra tires and wheels. i made out like a bandit. rite here on this site.

In addition to the Revo itself all you need to buy is fuel, a regular 6 cell battery like in your combo and 8 AA batteries for the transmitter.

RE: Which truck to buy.
As I said before
Get the Revo
Even if your bashing I would still take a revo
The handling is just so much better than a savage
Do yourself a favor, buy a Revo and never look back.
