Are those the settings for the stock ESC?

Glad you asked my friend, lipo cut off 3.2V
reverse power 55%
brakes 55%
punch control 70%
Timing low 5*
start power low
Almost no cogging, And still has lots of power when you hit the trigger.

Hey everyone
My XS came with only one of the two screws that hold the motor to the motor plate[&:], weird I know. I managed to find a replacement in my jar of stuff and its back together. From what I did drive I was impressed, looking forward to enjoying this truck

Hi t9dragon,
In fact according to Castle information 2200Kv motor accepts up to 6S Lipo but sweetspot is 4S, IMHO better to stay with 4S.
Have you got any HP Flux ? What are your settings ?
Thanks,

I haven't heard of HPI having any issues with the Savage Flux lately. I you are going to run it on 6s then you should use a lipo with a "C" rating of at leaast 30...

That's also a factor that's often overlooked.

The only setting that I have ever changed on my FLUX HP is the auto lipo cutoff.. The first ESC in my FLUX just stoppped working about 6-7 months ago so I called HPI and they replaced it free of charge but in talking to the guy at HPI he asked what was the "C" rating on the lipos I was using and I told him on the 3s it was 20c. He told me that was under what they recommened for the FLUX, he said they recommend 25c or higher. But in my manual it never said that because my FLUX was one of the first ones on the market.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Well, looks like I am the owner of a slightly used Flux XS
I hope to get it mid to late next week. Definitely before next weekend.
Now I need to get a battery ordered. I am guessing I don't really need a hard case since it's going in a hard case. I could alway use some foam to keep it tight, right? or would a hard case be preferred?
The body is already pretty scratched up and I will keep it for my rough bashing body. Any other bodies out there that will fit this truck?

Had the xs out today for about an hour of bashing on 2s in the dirt, completely stock and no issues. ESC got warm only but motor was hot after each pack. This truck is becoming my favorite very quickly and I have a few.

I've put around 10+ 3S packs through my XS in the last week, haven't had any heat issues since I installed the MMP,motor fan and 23 tooth pinion. I'm very happy with the performance on 3S with my current gearing. I did eat the front ring and pinion gears, but was able to replace them, and all the drive cups have about 25-50% life left. I've been having so much fun with the XS I haven't even thought of repairing the flux hp.

Ive already opened it up, applied some synthetic grease I use on my dirt bike, still running pretty hot. When it breaks something is when I'll become more concerned, but it doesn't appear to be binding.

I originally thought the truck was geared too high for 3s but its handling it with temperature to spare. I havn't had mine out on a hot summer day yet but it has been around 20C or so and sunny
I am still tying to find someone to hold the radar gun.
