RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Well i've been out running my flux xs since i got it last week. with only a 25c lipo, i dont think its quite as fast as a 30c, but its fine with me. its still a quick truck. beats my bandit vxl. i have to admit that it is an awesome truck. the only downfall to it are the stock tires. with this much power, even 4WD doesnt hook up well anywhere. im hoping the proline badlands will take care of this issue. i've upgraded to a high torque servo (90oz./in. @6v) and it seems to turn quicker and sharper, but the servo isnt waterproof. i dont plan on running it thru water anyway. i should be getting my badlands today. ill take some pics of it with the black on black rim combo after i clean it up.

Just finish reading the 90 pages....Wich engine would recomend?
The speed that the original delivers is OK, but I would like something that could last much longer....I use this for really hardcore bashing
Using Mamba Max Pro and 3S bat.
Thanks!!!

I got mine from here http://www.toadzrc.com/hpi-106731-sw...savage-xs.html. I haven't noticed much difference, but of course I have dual shocks on mine, and heavier springs, so unless I can find a stronger bar for mine, I don't think it's gonna do much for my truck.
I finally had my pinion gear fall off like a lot of other people, but just put it back in place and used a little blue locktite on the set screw this time.
I also noticed some people complaining about the screws on this thing. I had a lot of my button head screws strip out and I have actually replaced most all of my of them with socket-head cap screws. They weigh a teany tiny bit more, but I think it's worth it since these things will never strip out, and you don't need 2 different sizes of hex drivers when working on your truck.

Rologti, that is the one. I ordered a set of sway bars for mine. I think the XS is mostly going to be used on the street. New jeep body and tires are ready, too, but my camera isn't.

I broke a few shock end where they connect to the A-arms. Didn't really want to buy the entire parts tree, so I used some Traxxas rod ends # 2742X- and they fit perfect.
Just thought I would throw that out there

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Here's a little something I ran into that might save someone some money. Some people like to add 4 more shocks to give the truck dual shocks. Some also like to put Pro-line PowerStroke aluminum shocks on it too. Make sure you don't buy the Pro-line PowerStroke shocks if you are planning on giving it dual shocks, because they are too big to fit in the inner shock location. I ended up upgrading all the shocks, and just putting the stock shocks in the inner shock location. Now I have 4 spare Pro-line shocks.
