RE: Official Mini-T Thread
I have one for 1/10 one. I take out a brush, stick it in and spin the motor. It's like a little stick. I couldn't use a lathe because the motor is not made to open. Just to take the brushes out.

Well please include al the info in one post for me and I'll help ya.
1. What tooth count spur? (Please dont say stock because I do not remember what the stock spur was).
2. What motor you are running?
3. High speeds or low torquey speeds? Which are you gearing for?
4. Does it have to be aluminum? Steel is better and lasts longer. Alum pinions like to crack and waarp under extreme conditions. They also chew up pretty fast in dirt.

I am going to buy a mini baja. I wanted to clarify that i only need a new esc in order to install a brushless mamba, no new Rx or Tx?

no. From what i know, you an slap a mamba right on there. The baja already has an fm tx/rx system and you can just slap a brushless on there. good luck with it!
EDIT: the mamba comes with the new esc unless you buy just the motor....

Hi,
Any of you running a locked spool rather than a ball diff with your mamba motors - I'm looking for more durability than the stock planetary gears but without having to break the drive train down to adjust the ball diff when it loosens. All thoughts greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Neil

This will only be good for Drag Racing applications (my favorite form of racing) because the ball diff adjusts the speed of the wheels to allow the car to turn but the locked center spool would not allow the car to turn as quickly as most would like. However it is strong than the Ball Diff but i prefer the ball diff for my racing applications.
