well i never thought to post this because i dont remember what glue it was buuttt....

on my ring gears and pinion i got some glue (hard compound of some sort) and soaked them for a wile. once i took them out it was almost like hardened plastic. also it made the gear mesh a little tighter. im not sure how long it will last and i want to get some spares just in case but it did help some for now.

hey new to the site thought i would share some pics of my chaos. not much done to it other than,hitec hs65hg servo, trinity next metal diff gears, locked center and rear, mini inferno rims tires, and rerouted fule lines and fule line in the drive cups. the orginal gears and sevo lasted about 3 days. original tires lasted 2 weeks. anyone know how to keep the tires from falling off. the nuts lossen up after a few runs so I ve started checking them every time I run it. I ve lost all but 1 of the pins in the axials so I ve replaced them with 3/32 tig welding wire s.s. I ve also used the melted pinions to replace one of the center deiff gears and one rear by melting a cross in the center and gluing the spider gears cross peice in the melted end.

I looked at your pics the other day there prety cool. The mini kylin's looks a bit larger than the chaos i asume they are both 16th scale? I have a pro pulse coming soon and hoped it would be prety close in size to the chaos. it looks like the chaos may be smaller than other 16ths. The pro pulse is 18th. any way to post a pic you need to click on reply on the last post or any other post. if you scroll to the bottom of the screen and start typing to reply it wont let you post pics. so try cliking reply first then it will show beta muliti upload or click here to upload an image. after you click upload it will show about12 box in a row that say browse. click browse and select a file from you computer. The gears i used are aluminum casted for a trinity next / now 1/16 scale. from what ive heard they are hard to find do to the company not making them any more. I bought mine off ebay this past spring and just finished puting it back to gether about 2 months ago. I had a few other parts broke but was ale to fix them with the worn out pinion gears. I twisted off the center diff gear and was able to use the old rear pinion in its place.

Well I picked one of these up off craigslist a few week ago for $50, the motor didn't have much compression, and looked slightly used.
I nabbed a PS, spur, CB bearings, fuel tank, Piston and Sleeve, and wing off ebay for cheap.
I didn't notice the tires right off the bat, they were missing foams, so since I am currently waiting for tires to come in, I decided to play in the shop tonight.

I have several 540 motors to play with, but I also had a mamba 5400kv brushless sitting on the shelf, pulled it out of a mini lst I had back when they first came out. Now the Mini Lst is comparable in weight I believe, don't quote me, its been several year since I owned it.

Gearing it 24t / 78t or 3.25, stock is 3.33. I picked up a rc18t motor mount, and a 78t traxxas spur. Put the spur in my lathe and used some sand paper to get it to fit inside the lip of the traxxas spur, bolted them together, I decided to raise the center diff with a few collars instead of cutting a chunk out of the chassis, quick custom motor mount and I did a test power up, all seems to work good.

once I get my stinking tires and the lipos I ordered I will fire it up, mind you I will keep the power output very low for the trial, kind of getting excited to run it

Few Pics

@Bluerado:

That's the one I have. You'll need KMI cups, or you'll have to make yourself some. The pinion works great, one you shoehorn it in.

4x7x2.5 works great in the clutch bell, you'll need 2.

yeah i looked back and saw what you had to do but its already ordered. it shouldnt be tough to make it work, just a little time.

i have those bearings on the way along with 2 glow plugs since i forgot to order any for my p-zerro . everything is shimmed and together for now so im getting a little anxious now.

I looked and found cups for the KMI someplace, I just don't remember where. It wasn't eBay.
You're getting your pinions from the same guy I did. He took 2 weeks to ship mine, no communication or anything unless I prodded him first. Just a heads up.

Seems like they'd work, I didn't see a set screw, but you can easily tap for one yourself if needed.
