the 9200 you should expect better runs then the mamba or tekin did and all you really do is just put the motor in but you might have to proram the mamba

well was haveing some cogging problems but contacted castle and think i have it fiked they told me to use the 60 t spur and the smallest pinion i could get alo they said to download the latest software for the mamba 25 and set my low end to the lowest setting to prevent frying the esc so i bought a castle and im gonna upgrade in a bit ill let u all know how it works ill also get some vids

oh ye i also re configured my 8.4v bat to fit in the mt so ill be ready to rock as soon as the mamba 25 is upgraded anyone use the castle link is it pretty easy

pic of my car full throttle

the wheels are regular mt tires but r balloned to the max

I run a hump style battery pack in my brushless 18t, its a 9.6v. I Just dremeled two rectangles in the bottom of the chassis where the battery ends and used about 2 foot of 1/2 inch velcro I had laying around. It holds the battery great, It should work in your case. I think you can pick some up at any sort of craft shop. Maybe a lhs but i doubt it. I'll take some pics if anyones interested

I just ordered one of these motors myself. Trying to decide which ESC to now order for it. The blue around your motor is that a heat sink? I would like to get a heat sink to fit this thing.

Thats the Factory team motor mount. from what i've heard you can get those clip-on motor heat sinks off of ebay or rcmart or i sure theres other that sell them. All you have to do is squeeze them down around the 180 can.

Default RE: new brushless 9200kv motor in my ahhh fast 18mt :now with vids

well so far ivew had the mamba comp package it was fast (could beat most stock nitro +some hoped up ones ) but this dynmanite c4 9200 kv motor is insane so far every one at the lhs with nitro has refused to race for pinks (i want a nitro lol)and thats only with them seing it half throttle beiong held in my hand

so id go with a mamba 25 (getting the castle link is a must super fine tuning )the c4 9200 kv motor and some good bats id at least get the reedy mini max 1100nimh bats 7.2v

but if u want real power speed ur gonna want to go lipo or use gp 1100nimh cells and make a 7 cell pack 8.4v(11.1v lipo will be uncontrollable 8.4v1200 nimh pack is uncontrollable but still pretty tame)
ur gonna need a 12 t pinion gear and if u dont have the 18 mt ur gonna need to get the 60 t spur gear to (mt already has

Default RE: new brushless 9200kv motor in my ahhh fast 18mt :now with vids

so far my stock diffs are holding up fine mip makes a super dif upgrade but i havent heard anything about it good or bad
as for servos i finaly messed mine up filming thoes vids hit a curb full speed dead on in the front (even broke my rpm bumper and bent my intgey alloy belcrank) my lhs didnt have any metal gear servos so i just got another stock one only thin i can suggest is to get a metal gear one if u can find one

man id just get a mamba 25 esc like 40-60 $ on ebay or online hobby stores and get that c4 9200 kv motor u will regret not getting(i know i did) the fastest setup (or get the mamba comp x package at least its usually the same price as the comp package)

i bought the comp package(6800kv) cause i was told that the comp x (8000kv)would tear up the diffs but i have had no problems yet even with the 9200kv c4 motor

the castle link is a must
i wish i could get some screen shots of how it works its really sweet a throttle curve pops up and all u do is click on it and move it around to set the curve then load the settings to ur esc

if u r wanting the comp package becaues the 9200 kv or the comp x package might be to powerfull dont worrie with the castle link u can set the power to low and it will preform just like the comp package and then when u need to or want to all u have to do is plug it in to ur comp and hike up the power for full on insane speed (also a good way to get in a race aganst a nitro set ur settings to low power drive it around a bit and when u get a race plug it in hike the power and waste the nitro car lol)

thanks for the info it was really helpfull. the rc18 sounds like a really tough rc. do you know how fast the mamba comp x goes.does i was also wondering if the car rolls over very easly or is it because it was going so fast

in stock form its a awsome handeling ride with the comp it gets a little touchy with the 9200kv motor its like trying to drive a car on ice lol

with the right bats i think people r seeing 50 mph from the comp x

the drive train is awsome

but dont base the overall strength on my vids im running the full factory team alum kit
a-arms /shocks/shock towers /dogbones/motor heatsink+i have the lunsford titianum turnbuckles here r some pics i did have the rpm front bumper but i riped it off filming vids the other day

the 18's are pretty tough stock i only broke one shock tower running a novak spy esc and baja motor and thats cause i drove under a couch and cought the tower but u will break allot of parts bashig in stock form withthe speeds that the mamba and thge c4 motors put out

the rims look like they are tough. i made a mistake by buying the mini lst and one rim fell off and the other cracked but i was driving it at the airport and hit a big pice of metal
