RE: Drifting Mini-t
one of the reasons its easier is cuz only the people who say they have mini t's, actually own mini t's , and im not one of them.... but just because its easier to sit around and say it cant be done , doesnt mean that we have to, im just either sitting around or trying to drift my mlst (my tyres are wearing out real bad i must be doing something wrong)

RE: Drifting Mini-t
There's very little propulsion when using RWD, which is the main challenge, along with quick, precise throttle control. I've already shown you guys that I can keep the tail out with a Mini-Z MR02... drifting is just one long tail out, with more room (check), more power (check) and more angle (check). I'll find the time to make a video by the end of August.

That was very cool... I love the Dukes of Hazard...

RCDrifter, after seeing that Mini video, I am going to be on the lookout for drift tires for my CompX rc18mt!!! That was pretty cool!!!
Here is an interesting RWD drift!

RE: Drifting Mini-t
hey, this gives me an idea, with the amount of time the mini t spends on-road, and the amount of time the general lee spends off road (on mini-t type terrain [>:]) , maybe they have something in common... like, a 1/18 dodge charger 1968 body would be nice but i dont think any such thing exists

I suppose I'm the only one that believes this kid? I've drifted my BL pede (ok, it was on dirt, but it was long slides, linking corners around things, not donuts), and driven mini-t's, I see no reason why a mini couldn't do the same as my truck.

I believe you can drift a Mini-T -- Just not easy to do. Lots of practice.

RE: Drifting Mini-t
i dont see why people think that you caint drif 2WD rc the physics and mechanics of it are the same as real it is just scaled down...i yousd to drift my 12l all the time, it wasnt absolutly butiful because it was sooo hard. going the other way now, i am sure you could get a AWD car to drift gracefully like a RC TC if you put hard compound plastic tires on it(the 1:1 car).

RE: Drifting Mini-t
well you could always use your epa to turn it down to 50% or something if that helps, otherwise normal tires and actual screeching always beat 'drift tyres' , if you got the reflexes to handle the speed and you dont mind shelling out for new tyres here and there

RE: Drifting Mini-t
i will try to drift my vulcan nitro 4wd car after the tires wear down... (should be done by about noon today) and ill try with that because i can get it to do about a 6 inch drift then hook up again. I may try my mlst when i get it working again.

RE: Drifting Mini-t
Here's a clip in slo-mo... I think it can be done, but it takes much more practice and fine motor skills than a comparative AWD drift. Linking drifts is much harder too.

RE: Drifting Mini-t
Thats a powerslide, powerslides are easy enough but its not a true drift.

RE: Drifting Mini-t
Can someone give me the definition of drifting? I think i'm having trouble understanding. Why do you say it isn't a true drift? Is he drifting or not?
