Kro u said this on page 127 of this thread?

Yes I did , but I was looking through my parts and I think it was one of the axel shims . Doesnt matter though as long as it fits the losi diff and its not too thick .

From the various sites and searches that I checked, It appears that the best aluminum gearbox out there right now is the one made by Team Losi. Everything fits in it perfectly with no shimming required. I was going to get the 3Racing one, but now I'm leaning toward the Losi one, since it's a perfect fit.

Does it come with bearings? why bother if not, 3R comes with bearings for the main shaft, which is the whole point of the 3R gear box.
EDIT:
Come to think of it i dont see a Losi gear box on horizon website, which owns Losi, all i see is an integery one, can u give us alink to this losi gear box

How are Integy parts anyway? I've been trying to find that 'Losi' gearbox that I saw, but I can't seem to find it. It may have been one of those things where somebody was calling it a Losi because it fit one and not because it was made by Losi. Hmm... is 3Racing still the only gearbox with bearings?

As far as I know it is . Mine has worked like a charm since I installed it , and that was quite a while ago (I havent had to rebuild the diff since I bought it). I am running a 7.4v LiPo and the Atomic motor also which puts even more strain on the drivetrain (have been since new) . If your running the stock motor and battery the stock gearbox will last a while .

Hey everyone, thought I would share this... I bought this Pistol case at kmart for $12.99. it even came with the foam. I just put the truck. TX, charger, etc on the foam, traced it, then cut it out with a razor blade the hole in the top of the case is for the RX antenna so it doesn't get smashed when i close the case......

Hi Mike,
There has been a lot of talk about people wanting the brushless setup, but I haven't actually heard anybody say they have it yet. I'd also be interested in hearing from somebody that has one to see if the car is still controllable or if it just spins out a lot. That's a LOT of power to be pushing through those tiny gears and wheels!

i have the Atomic BB and athe Losi 2s lipo, and it already is too fast for it's own good, so the 250 mah is gonna be sick!!!

as for the spektrum, it was 89.99 on killerhobbies.com this morning .......... now it's 139.99, ***???????????

i may just say eff it, and buy it, we'll see. if someone beats me to it, post up!!!!!

$135!!! Holy **** that's more than I paid for all 3 of my Micro's combined! I'm really surprised that Losi is releasing these without having a receiver available!

i agree that is a little pricey. but, it may be well worth it of this little sucker takes flight

actually, i was doing some calculations, and i am thinking that 40 mph is an attainable goal with the BL and the lipo. the problem i have is the inability to test speeds anymore.... (GPS went with the ex )

40Mph! Wow! at that speed I wonder how cornering would be! I haven't even gotten any of my 1:10 RC's going that fast yet, heh.

Ex's suck.

lol, my 1/18th broke that speed almost immediately after purchase.

i have this weird thing with setting unrealistic goals, and actually attaining them. it just costs alot of money, and eats alot of time, BUT, i get there.....

well, my micro t should be here tommorow i bought a used one with a lipo and bearings......
the future holds a lot for this little guy......
after i get to know the truck and decide whether i like it or not i will slowly upgrade it.
maybe a brushless motor[8D], and if it really will hit 40mph, i will throw on a gyro just so i can still control it, then of course, a camera

oh, and if i get these tires, do you think i could get this thing to drift on my porch? if so, how well? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=011

The hardness on the tires is rated at medium soft. They might be too sticky for drifting even tho they are smooth...on the other hand, it also depends how dusty your porch is If you can find a set with a 'hard' rating they'd be better.
