RE: Driven Products.....did they every make the rc18 chassis?
We have not released it yet.
It has been put on the back burner due to parts we need for mass productions. We are still planning to release one.
We want to make sure we put out a quality product.
kind regards
team DP

inverted and doahh - what are you guys referring to? this chassis is what ae should have produced imho, plus being that it is a stiffer material is a huge bonus.

I didn't say anything, I REALLY want one, but I think they didn't deserve all the hating they got from other members.

I was hoping that they would make a single servo chassis for the Mini LST but I guess I might not need it anymore...

I agree, I very rarely visit as it is extremely under-moderated and everyone there cops an attitude. I figured it was just a waste of time when they started making fun of my truck because my shocks were yellow.

I like those yellow shocks.
I like those yellow shocks.
I got them to be different, when i bought them the only other shocks on the market were the 3racing, and I didn't want blue shocks.

To be fair, when you promise something and over a year later don't deliver it, people have a right to get pissy. Alot of people held off on other options because the DP chassis was going to be a very good product, and they promised it but didn't deliver it.
I understand it's a side business, and I understand there are other demands on his time. I also understand why these people are angry for him saying he would deliver, and then not delivering.

RE: Driven Products.....did they every make the rc18 chassis?
that is where i am at...i have needed to rebuild my truck, and with surgery over and actually being able to do stuff i figured since the last i heard they would be done around christmas the timing would be excellent. personally i don't want to go cf or aluminum, nor buy the gear cover and steering link that the new chassis is suppose to come with so i like others am patiently waiting.
dp - is it a design problem? or could you subcontract to another place about getting the parts machined? can you use the same type of machine equipment for the delrin that you would use for metal?

one18th is a ok site, but for some reason there is a bit of an attitude among many members, can't put my finger on it but it is there. the mean age seems to be a bit lower than here.
EDIT: Gotta say I have a friend who is going to be bummed at this news. He has waited and waited and gotten so frustrated at the stock AE setup for racing. He kept putting off getting a Vendetta or M18T because of the hopes of this chassis.

dp - is there any new eta on the chassis? please let me know. after 2mos of recovering from surgery (spinal tumor removal) i really want to start driving the truck again, but not with the stock chassis. your info will kind of determine whether i keep it or get a revo 3.3....please let me know of a timeframe
