Mamba trouble
I have 2 mamba 25 esc's, a 6800kv mamba motor, and the castle link. I bought the ESC I was going to use a while ago, and I just updated the firmware, and put all the settings back to default. the reason I bought the link was because I thought the settings were messed up, because when I pulled on the throttle the motor would just stutter, and not move. I bought both esc and the motor used, and seperately. I also tried using the other esc that I got from a freind for free. I also got an 8000 kv motor, that he ended up needing, and it did the same thing to that motor. because of that I thought that the problem must be the esc's settings, but now they are all at the factory default, I did change some settings that allowed for a lower capacity / lower draw battery to be used. I tried it again and it did the same thing, and the mini connectors got hot(adapter from deans to mini then to the battery). so I replaced the wire with 12 guage and deans thinking that the motor was just not getting enough power. but the problem is still there, the motor won't move, it just sits there and stutters.
Anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

RE: Mamba trouble
Happened to me as well after I stupidly ran through a puddle......esc is fried. Mine did the same thing. It would stutter and the connectors/esc got real hot. Got a new one.....no problems now.
Have you tried different radios and receivers?

RE: Mamba trouble
I have tried 3 different radios, I forgot to mention that, and what do you mean program it to my radio? and I don't think that both ESC's are fried.

RE: Mamba trouble
You have to recalibrate the esc everytime you use a new radio.
To do so:
-Disconnect battery
-Turn mamba switch off
-Connect battery
-Mamba flashes all LED's and rings once
-Apply full throttle
-Turn mamba switch on
-Wait 2 seconds
-Mamba flashes green LED and rings 4 times once indicating full throttle measured
-Mamba flashes red while beeping, indicating its time to push full brake
-Push full brake
-Wait 1 second
-Mamba flashes red LED and rings 4 times, indicating full brake measured
-Mamba flashes yellow LED while beeping indicating it is time for neutral
-Put trigger to neutral
-Wait 1 second
-Mamba Flashes yellow LED indicating neutral measured
-Wait for one second
-Mamba will flash all LED's and ring twice indicating that it is armed
I know its long but its logical like the rest of the programming. Im pretty sure the manual is on the web somewhere.
