RE: Team Losi 1/18 Dodge Raminator
Is the ram based on the mlst or the mlst2?
The usual manual and exploded diagram isn't on Losi's website for this one.

Just log in, it's pretty easy.
I can't wait for the Mega Raminator! Or maybe, the Mega T, or Micro LST. Pretty much scal up or down aany losi product, then stick any available bodyu on it and call them all something different, without every rasing the quality or innovating anything new and you have Losi of today, It's a shame.

I would SOOOOO be first in line for a micro LST!!!! I love my micro T but would love it WAY more if it were 4x4!!!
Love the ram body... cant wait to get one for my mini quake

Why is it sad and a shame? Losi has their high-line, they have their low-line. They put out great products.
I have 3 Losi products. The 8ight-T which is marketed at racers, the Aftershock which is marketed at bashers, and the standard mini-T which is marketed at anyone wanting to get inro 1/18th scale for cheap. They all run well IMO.
Losi seems to have something for every price bracket and I dont see the "shame" in it that you guys do...they are more popular than they have ever been and frankly, I think some of you are jumping on the band wagon for the sake of following the crowd. End rant.

I don't think it's sad, it's just a marketing scheme. Similar to AE and their RC18R, in which a handful of parts are different, yet the price increased. Losi is just doing marketing. They do at least make some subtle changes, look at the new XXX-T, fairly similar, but what they did change was great. The same could be said about the mini lst 2, over the mini lst.

Your right, it is a marketing scheme, and its working for them. But until the buyers start suffering because of cutting corners, I dont think its a shame that some others are saying it is. Im almost 100% sure they are not at that point yet and I hope they will never be. BTW Im not a losi freak as I have alot of other brands too...

I dont see a problem with them modifying a vehichle slightly and selling it... other mini's make due with one motor so where is the problem in that? If i was in the market for a mini this one would be at the top of my list since I own a dodge ram 1:1 truck[ Sure anyone could buy a mini LST for $200, buy new wheels and tires and a body and have the same truck, but it would cost them $25 more for the truck to start with, then another $25 for the tires, and $15-$20 for the body.... seems like a great deal to me to have them sell it RTR.... Think about it, if they sold a new version every 6 months and all they chage is the body and wheels, that would be more inovative than any other MFG out there, since right now everyone sells the same truck for years....

You guy's are right, I'll wait two years and see if any actually new products come down the pipeline before I pass judgement. The true brains are gone though.

Yeah, i think he was another marketing person. I specifically meant Losi Jr, I imagine alot of the R&D team would have either followed hime or left in his wake.

Oh Losi Jr and his Kyosho switch. That was an odd move. I mean, his last name is Losi...
Do you think being purchased by Horizon Hobbies has anything to do with Losi's recent offerings?

I'm sure of it, they bought it for the name, and they are gonna get every dime they can out of it. Often times companies do this, then throw the name away, like AMF tried to do with Harley-Davidson. So hopefully it won't be that extreme, but that's what I see ahead.

Yea, I hope they don't just drop off the face of the earth, but a new car would be great. That is saying the same for all other brands in my opinion. We can see revision after revision but something truly innovative seems to only be left to aftermarkets and innovators right now.

Not to rain on anyones parade, but what made you get a propulse over all the other options out there? I mean its a totally decent car, its one of the higher quality RC18 clones. But for the price you pay, $99 plus a battery pack and charger, you can be on your way to a much nicer 1/18 RC.
