oh okay what is more value
rc18r
or
rc18b
im starting to think rc18b
cuz i really like buggies
its low but can handle like the rc18r i assume
and it can be jumped and go offroadin
with some betta tires i think
what speed should i be seeing with the stock pack
with 2cell lipo? (1300 mah)

RE: OFFICIAL RC18MT/B/T THREAD
i would stay clear of the 18r if you wanna do any kind of off roading because it is just such a on road car that you would have to convert basically everything to get it good off road.
if you look at the pictures of it on ae web site you can see that the a arms are different than the 18t,b,mt.
if i got another, i would get either a 18t or 18b ft kit and get a decent radio and servo for it.
good luck with you decision.

They're pretty fast stock diggy. You cant really jump the rc18r. It's a onroad car. You can get the rc18r tires and wheels for the 18b so it handles onroad better, but you will still be able to jump

um it is an "L" shaped braket that i screw to the back of my shock tower with a hole in it that i screw my camera onto, very heavy and slow with the camera on lol. i will try to take some pics of it sometime and show you it is very stable. but dont jump with it on, i broke my shock tower doing a backflip with it lol.

cuz the thing is
i have to much into my detta( now about 400$)
to actually bash it with confidence
and its not really reliable so i am thinking of getting in the racing scene
or if not racing, at least get some track time (which i most prolly will do)
so i am looking for..
a durable mini
decently fast (not going to upgrade most prolly)
handles good
mostly on road but may jump (buggy)
so thanks alot all

RE: OFFICIAL RC18MT/B/T THREAD
well i look at it this way, you could always take an 18b,mt,t and drive it on road, jump it and all but with the R you are kinda limited if you know what i mean. you cant just take it off road and expect it to perform like a stadium truck. its a win win situation,
18b,t,mt - good off road sacrifice some onroad speed and handling but can jump insame things
18r - handles great onroad jump tiny things, ant go off road with good handling
this is what i think, please dont chew me out lol

Ya, i wouldn't get the rc18r. I would get the t or b because you can jump as well as get 18r tires and wheels and it'll handle great.

Ya. The diffs are a weak spot, especially if you get brushless or lipo. They need to be shimmed every 20-30 runs, and that requires you to take off the entire top deck. But otherwise then are pretty durable and, umm ya.

They dont suck... They just have a few problems, as do pretty much all mini's. I had one with a 8000 kv mamba, and i loved it, but after a LONG time with it, it just got really beat up and i decided to sell it instead of completely rebuilding it.

What do you mean. I had one. Well, with a 8000 kv lipo [&o] The diffs got shredded pretty quick if they were not shimmed correctly.

RE: OFFICIAL RC18MT/B/T THREAD
The problem I had with the stock diffs was they would notch up really bad really quickly after I went brushless . The alloy ones were better but still wore out in 1 season . The MIP diffs are holding up great , probably have 15-20 runs on them and they are still not notched up .
