Default RE: Which Iron

I solder at 45 watts. Anything over 40 should be good.

Default RE: Which Iron

for just wiring (motors/escs) i use a 60watt iron
for batteries i use a 100 watt gun

the thing is with batteries is that u need a iron/gun
that can heat up the surface of the battery fast enough
without overheating the actual cells

also besure to scuff up the cells contacts (a lesson i just learned =P)
for a better bond
and to use flux

anything above 40 should be good if it is a good quality iron
not one of those cheapy ebay china ones but a good radioshack
or weller one

my 100watt gun gets hot very quick in about 9 seconds when i pull the trigger
thing i like about guns is that it only gets hot when u pull the trigger
so when ur not working with the iron right @ the moment, it wont burn anything
