Default SLOW RC18T

I have an rc18t and i put a sidewinder micro in it with a 5400 kv motor. It is kinda slow, not what i would think it would be. It wont do a wheelie.
I have been inot electric trucks for a while now and i know that everything revolves around your battery. So i am using a 6 cell 1400 right now. Would upgrading to a 2s be good for racing and bashing? I know that a 3s would be to hot for racing but i am still considering going for the 3s. I have a lipo charger so thats no big deal. Are maxamps batteries good? i was looking at a 1550 mah 2s for pretty cheap.

what would my speeds be with that? faster than it is now? cause if it doesnt at least do some kind of wheelie im either gonna get rid of it or put in the 6800 or 8000 lol. Thanks guys.

Get a lipo, you'll like the difference. Hows it geared ? I'm guessing you'll be doing wheelies if you just get a lipo.

I would go for the 3S Li-Po. If it's to much just tone it down with the castlelink.

yea, I kinda figure that these brushless motors need a good power source so I'm gonna get lipo soon.

remember what i told you on aim, just because the packc can hold the volts doesn't mean it can deliver the amps, go with a goood high discharge (C) battery, the higher the C in combination with the capacity (mah) the more amps your motor is going to get, also look at the specs of the ESC to find the max peak amp draw, that can help a ton in finding a good lithium[8D]

If wheelies are all you want, then just tighten your rear diff. You can do wheelies on an all stock rc18t with the rear tightened down.
