Sureflite is still in business. The website is back and but not fully working the last time I checked.I think the original owner sold to some guys in Calif. I plan to build one of those Cubs sometime this year. There is a Sureflite Me109 in the Warbirds forum that looks very realistic in the black and white photos shown.

I remember when I bought it I wanted an engine the seller was selling only as a package with the kit. I decided the engine waqs worth the price and the kit was just a freebee... Ihope now it will get flying, it looks pretty decent and a good size at 42" wingspan. A black widow should pull it OK.

All I ask is that when you are in the position to help another modeller, you do

Well ajcoholic, everything got here ok. Hopefully I can start building in the next few days. I'll post some pics as soon as I do. Just curious, how well will this plane handle on just the rudder? Would it be worth the effort to make some ailerons? Anyway, thanks again.

P.S. I almost forgot. I passed my check ride. I'm an official pilot now. Next thing up is my instrument rating which is no fun at all.

Cool, and congratulations!

I think rudder and elevator would be just fine. And leave off the gear for less weight

This is the best part about hanging out in the 1/2A forum. The other forums turn up stuff like this now and then but I don't think I've seen this level of sharing as we so often see here. And before Andrew gets a swelled head it's not JUST him. The other guys here have jumped in ofen enough too.

But for today the toast for hero of the week is for AJ.. HIP HIP HOORAY!

BTW, I've taken the liberty of deleating chauvotsm's mailing address above. It's just too easy for SPAM bots and other internet low life types to grab that sort of info.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. WHEN PROVIDING CONTACT INFO PLEASE USE THE PM SYSTEM OR EMAIL DIRECTLY ! ! ! ! ! The inbox you save from SPAM will be your own.

Bruce, dont worry about any swelled heads. I have had the pleasure of making countless friends in the hobby, who have all shared more with me than I could ever repay back. That just motivates me to do as much as I can for whom I can. This is a special place (the hobby in general, and this 1/2A forum) indeed and its a pleasure to call many of you my friend.
