I use 7x3 and 7x4 on my .074 Norvels with 30% nitro. Even at 20% with a 7x4 I would think Bipes sticks would be rockets at up to 20 oz.

I use Cox gray 7X3.5s on mine to fly a Global SST.09. 14,100 on Omega 15% with all 3 shims.

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the little Ugly Sticks. It's too bad that you can't post any pictures.

I only had a Thunder Tiger .07 on my Stick, but a friend has a Norvel .074 on his with no gear and it really hauls. Mine became too fuel soaked to fly, partly due to cheap covering and partly due to a leaky carb, so I replaced it with a Bipe Stick. I've since replaced the TT .07 with a Norvel .074. What a difference!

I've tried APC and Master Airscrew 7X3 and 7X4 props on my .074s. I've found the Master Airscrew 7X3 to give the most thrust.

I'd really hoard those Cox 7x3.5's as they are out of production[what isn't at C*x that ever was any good] I'm nursing mine and only using them for special projects and would buy as many as I can find.
Note the offer is not for the old C*x black or white nylon props.

Zeroman,

I wasn't aware that APC made a 6.3X4. That thing must really haul.

Are you and Frank coming out to our small fly in next month?

Yes I have a couple of those too. My .074 is still breaking in but is turning that 7x3.5 at 16,000. It is still quite quiet. I'm using 30% heli fuel and the smoking from the exhaust is just a little shy of a smoke system.
