Sorry for the new post...the Norvel FAQ seems to be getting full. How can I tell if Ihave a BiGMig or an AME? All the boxes and instructions are listed for the BigMig, (but I;m not sure that I brilrvr thrm) Two of the engines (one .049 and one .061) have the "larger" black cooling fins. The other two (one .049 and one .061) have the more silver low profile fins.

Is there any what of telling these things apart aside from breaking them down. I just want to break them in, mout them ina plane, and go.

PS I did look at the faq but I coldn't find enough detail to tell the individual engines apart. It seems to apply all post-AME engnes have the larger black cylinder heads. Other than that...rear the engines aoart...don't really want to do that at this point becsue I'll csue more trouble than it's worth.

Rob,
Remove the heads and look at the transfer ports, BigMigs have 5 small ports, AME have 3 larger ports.
