Default Does anyone rocognize this 1/2 A plane?

I bought this plane a few months ago with a broken wing for $10 at a sale. The wing is fixed but I just have to recover it. I am not sure what plane this is. I thought I would ask the 1/2A experts for some help. It looks to have a Norvell .061 I believe.

The wing spans just over 48" with no ailerons and the motor has written on it 1.0 cn.py

I think it might be a Norvel "Tutor"

With a Norvel BigMig .061. I hope that toggle switch isn't hooked to what I think it is. That might explain the broken wing.

yes the 1.0 is an .061,0.8 is an .049 not sure about the plane (or the toggle switch connection?) but both of the Norvel planes I have are low wingers and the top half of them are vacumn formed plastic....Rog

Yeah, it's definately a Tutor...I have one setting in the shop 3/4 done. They were made for Norvel by House of Balsa and use their dowel leading edge wing. I think the plane is a slightly reshaped version of their Decathlon. Either way, the Tutor is no longer in production...

Thanks for all the replies. The switch is just the on/off switch in case it makes a difference.I am not sure why the previous owner did it that way.

I had a club member in St. Louis who used a switch like that for his radio on/off switch. He felt it was a better switch and didn't fail like the typical model switch is prone to do.

My favorite 'switch' is made from a servo lead extension. Plugged in, it's on...unplugged, it's off.

Easily bumped into the off position. I saw one like that turned off by long grass after the plane was throttled up during a touch and go. Only thing the pilot could do was watch it take off, hit the ground and cart-wheel at full throttle. I guess the odds of that happening again are kind of small, so never mind.
