Default Seized up Cox 0.049"

Greetings

I have an old 0.049" engine that used to belong to a plastic PT-19 kit. I last used it about 20 years ago and understandably, it has seized (locked) up. I can remove the cylinder OK, but the crankshaft is locked solid.

Onyone recommend a suitable magic fluid for releasing the crank?

TIA

Easy, soak the case is fuel or de-natured alcolhol for a day or two. It wouldn't hurt a thing to soak the whole engine then carefully take every thing apart and clean it. It may or may not need a rebuild kit. No big deal...

P.S. The caster oil will over time turn to a varish/goo-like suff that can lock things up, the alcohol is the solvent.

If soaking doesn't free it, then hit it with your heat gun. Castor will also loosen up as it warms up.
