It is not a slow flying plane.
Thanks LittleRock.

Seems that in most K. Laumer designs, the wing has no incidence. The airfoil is asort of Clark Y. No wonder they fly fast, even if they are light. I'madding a few degrees of positive incidence to the wing, about 3°. The airfoil should workclose toits best L/D.

With a flat bottomed wing you don't need any "apparent" angle, it is all there in the wing profile. Adding a positive wing incidence will just make the plane balloon more with speed.

Thanks Mr Cox,

You are right, I'll check the numbersout.
And now Ialso remember thatthe wind downwash induces a relative negative incidence to the horizontal fin. So that makes two good reasons to leave the wing saddle as it is.

Are you building yours from one of the new kits? I have scratch built several Laumer designs and some are not easy. Roy Clough designs also represent a challange. Attached is the Ringer using 3 channels and a MP Jet .061 glow. LOTS of time in the covering process.

Where can I find a set of plans for the Ringer?

I am scratch building mine from a plan I found somewhere on this forum. I found some discrepancies between the views, regarding the wing saddle. But I am taking my time, it's been a while since I last scratch built an airplane. (RTFs & ARFs )

Very nice Ringer, well finished. Original for sure.

I think the plans could be found on line. I no longer have my set.
