Pulling tight loops in a Kadet Jr is a BAD01 idea!
My friend Seth and i are learning to fly with an old Kadet Jr. We got it off the ground and were doing good, and seth decided to do some REALY tight loops. My dad watched us for a while, and siad "If that was a real plane, the wings would snap off!" .
The next time we went out to fly Seth got it off the ground, slowly flew up high (400 ft or so...) and just guess what happend. Just guess.
The wing snapped in half! Down came the plane, the O.S. 25 engine, and my BRAND NEW $180 Airtronics Vangaurd 6ch radio. All seth could do was throttle down.
The half of the wing had floated down when we got to the plane. There was a battery over here, the engine over here, a servo over there, half of the prop there, and splinters everywhere. The cowling was gone. It had splintered all the way back to the cockpit.
Well, what do you guys think
Joel

Loops are usually ok unless the wing has a break in the spar or some weak glue. Always use enough rubber bands ( if they are used) and never pull out of a high speed dive too quickly. That will get just about any wing.
If Ambroid glue was used in that plane, there was not much holding it together.

I bought the plane used, and we could tell i had been wrecked a few times. Seth felt so bad about it, he fixed it up perfectly again. The cowling looks better now than it did before we crashed!
It's amazing that the battery and servos were not damaged, but the receiver is toast. A connector ripped of the switch too... The engine seems fine. Some dirt went up the carb, but we took the head off and cleaned it out.
I wish i had a picture of the grisly scene of the wreck.

We had plenty of rubber bands, the wing just split in half. We were pulling tight loops, we had landed very hard a few times, it was used-you could tell it had been wrecked alot.
The wing is practically made of contour putty! I try to get some pics...
