RE: Electric pylon racer converted to glow
No spars, just two quarter inch sheets glued together with Aliphatic. End caps with cross grain. Airfoil section created with a razor plane and sandpaper. Sanded down to an eighth at the LE and a sixteenth at the TE. The upturned tips are optional. Shape the tips then cut them off, chamfer and re-glue at an angle. As easy as it gets. The wing feel plenty strong enough in view of the lightness of the model, and it is designed to cope with the higher speed and weight of a brushless with 3500 3s lipo.

Yep thats right. The weight is a bit too far back though in this set-up. A slightly longer nose would have beem better to avoid the 7 grammes of lead in the nose. On the other hand there is absolutely no free paly or slop in the linkage with a rear mounted servo. Life is full of compromises!

I don't race, I just like small engines. And big ones too. I have an MDS 218 looking for a home at the moment. And ProBroJoe do behave!
