Page Boy
Hey, someone, real quick while Bob Harris isn't watching. . . .
What size brushless motor would be the proper size to improperly substitute for an .010 or .020 in an Early R/C Models Page Boy?

RE: Page Boy
Larry! An electric Page Boy? Ken Willard will roll over in his grave!!! Electrifying a Page Boy is like French Kissing your sister!![:@] It just aint right!!
I've not flown the Page Boy as electric but mine weighed in a 5.5 oz. I would think between 5 to 7 oz should be OK. My Page Boy with a single channel Citizen-ship escapement weighed in a 8 oz and still was a hand full with a Tee Dee .010.
Post some pics!!

RE: Page Boy
Check out the little purple motors at the bottom of this page and the continuation on Page 2 of the listings.
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...3&ParentCat=59
Hobby City seems to have by far the biggest selection I've seen of micro brushless motors and these prices can't be beat. I got two of the little C1818 and they look like they could be erasers on the end of a pencil... well, maybe not quite THAT small but they are really tiny and you can barely feel them in your palm.
And the 14 gram C1822 is listed as being OK for up to 10 amps. That'll set your Page Boy on it's tail! ! ! !
The order I got from them came in with no fuss and no muss. And I like the fact that they show stock on hand. I didn't order anything that wasn't in stock so I don't know how their backorder setupis. But if they got it you'll get it in my experience.

RE: Page Boy
I have a little geared GWS motor (The "C" version I think but I can't see it in there anymore) in my Early R/C Wee Stick. Runs on a 2s1p, 340 mah li-po with a 7x6 prop. Its not overpowered and will NOT fly straight up which is just right for me and this type of model. Its the same setup that Bob Wesley from Apex R/C used in his.

RE: Page Boy
Thank you Mr Matthews, that is the best site I have seen for small electric. I'll order the motor as soon as I can sort out the ESC and battery needed.
I have the fuse pretty well glued up and will try and keep on it better.
I also have a second Page Boy kit and a .010 for it, tho I worry about glow plug availability.
and, I have never flown rudder only . . .
Thank to all for the help.
