Need help with Simple Extra .10
What I need help with is finding out the brand and the C.G. for this plane. The plane is full working surfaces, has a O.S LA .10, wingspan of 35.25", and a length of about 26.5"

Was that crash due to wrong CG?
The only dangerous part is to have it too far towards the rear, so start a little forward of the spar then...
I've never had a plane with a regular wing that wouldn't fly with the CG just forward of the spar, i.e. when balanced on the spar with empty tank the nose should point slightly downwards.

Thats kind of under square compared to the Herr extra mine is 35 long 36 wing... and its right on the spar with an OS .15
I'd start maybe 1/2 and inch in front of the spar, hopefully you can just move the battery forward...nose heavy is always better than tail heavy.....Rog

Go to Geistware and plug your numbers into their CG calculator. 25% MAC is considered slightly nose heavy, but a safe starting point.
If the wing has an equal amount of taper...front and back, then just treat it like a rectangular wing and set the CG 25% back at the wing root.
