Yeah i have found that but i have yet to try my flame grilled crank as opposed to the oven baked ones that i used before. i am also pending a response from a machining shop about making cranks from a high grade tool steel. if the price seems decent i might get about 20 made.

If you're having cranks made, You might want to consider a round intake window instead of square as shown by Mr. Cox on an earlier post. The square intake window's corners have been known to induce cracks. Just a thought..

That is a very good though if i can afford it i was thinking to get 50% done each way, the first time i was told to make round intake ports was in a PM from MArisD Who made his own crank for the .010 i was going to see if he could make some more but he does not have the time at the moment so that is why i contacted a machining shop. But yes a round intake port "softens" the intake.

nitroairplane: pm sent.

Kiwi2: I think thatquestion was in regards to my "farcebug" , yes, she does fly. I switchedengineson it, I putmy blackwidow 049 just for doing stunt maneuvers lol
Or was that post referring to my clancy aviation "little plane that could" ...........I honestly don`t recall, but that one flies too but it`s a handfull to keep track of in the sky, next time I will cover it in better colors lol

Another weak spot is the ball and socket. You may be moving the road bock from one place to another. Next exercise will be having .010 piston / wrist pins made.

Yeah ball sockets are a weak spot but there are quite a few weak spots and i don't know if i can afford to get all of them remade[:o]

Not long ago there was a post about dieselizing and pics were shown of a beefier crank for an 020 I believe, but maybe it was an 049, either way, it simply had less milled  off in the crankpin area if I recall correctly.

Perhaps it was indeed a thread about dieselizing the 010, I don`t recall correctly...............

Wow, I forgot about this oldie. Haven't spent much time here in a while. Seems all the action has moved to the "other" group. Here's some of the .010 stuff I've been playing with lately:
