The LA series of engines are not as powerful as the AX or FX series but they are nice economical engines and they run good. I have 2 OS25LA's on a Twinstar that run great and the plane is plenty fast...........not going to break any sound barriers here but it flys fast enough for me. One of the model mags did a review on the 46LA and really gave it cudo's for what it is. I would say you won't be disappointed unless you want to go for unlimited vertical. I've also had a 65LA that was a real beast. Just remember you are paying a lot less so it does not compare with more expensive OS engines but they have a lot of bang for the buck.
