I bought a new DLE30 in early July then a DLE55 in early Aug. Both ran well from day one with excellent compression. The rings are wearing in very nicely with a good uniform appearance as viewed through the exhaust port. With all the talk about DLE rings, I expected to have to install the Bowman rings but such was not the case for these (2) engines. It appears that DLE must have improved their rings somewhat over the last year ...... they certainly improved the rest of the engines with new castings, etc.
