RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

Well, I finally finished my Tiger that I began last December. I worked on it a lot last winter, but it seems that there was so much to do during the summer that I didn't have time for it. Anyway, this is my first build, and I was dreading the covering job, but in the end I'm pleased with the results.
It's a taildragger with the battery underneath the fuel tank and a Saito 82 with a 13X6 prop, and it balanced at 4 in. without adding any weight at all. It's difficult to understand how some of you had to add upwards of a pound of weight. I did, however, need 1 oz.in the right wingtip.
The maiden flight was yesterday, and I can't tell you how pleased I am with this plane. It required very little trim, and flying it is a pure pleasure. Since this is my first low wing model, I'm still getting used to the extra ground effects on landing, which is a welcome change. I'm looking forward to flying this plane for a long time, if the well-known gremlins don't show up.
