I don't know the range of that particular unit but it is probably safe to say that the range of most of the units available for thehobbyistis farther than you would be able to see your airplane. You can increase your reception by changing your antennae and or upgrading to a dualdiversityreceiver. Whatever you decide to get for an FPV cam, make sure the frequency for the cam and plane are different.
