Default RE: RC Exl Ignition Users

The Rcxel hall sensor (transistor) that I have will pick up both poles depending on which way you have it orientated. But in the manual that I got with it, it says to put the letters of the transistor (04E) towards the magnet. When I do that it only picks up the north (I think) pole magnet. Since I have a south pole magnet, I turned it over and it sensed it. But when I run the motor with the Rcxel ign, it runs like crap (can't get it to rev up very good). So thinking that it needs a different magnet or different transistor, the transistor is easier to change and allows me to switch between the two different brands of ign. The manual is a copied version so it is not very clear on the pictures, so wanted to confirm the number on the transistor so that I can look for a replacement that will pick up the south pole magnet.
By the way, I had another ign fail today so I ended up replacing it with the Rcxel ign and it works great (so no problem with the ign itself).
