RE: SYSSA 30cc, What are you flying it in
I'm, running a home made soft mount without a nosering. The mount is probably too stiff and there is a lot of airframe noise. The cowl is pretty torn up from all the different engines installed in the airframe. Lots of different holes leaking noise. I am currently looking at why it is so hard to get fuel up to the carb. The choke plate just does not fit well enough to give a good seal. I have to put the"Grinder" on it to get it up and running the 1st start of the day. Then any subsequent engine starts have been one flip.
I am just trying to get as much fuel through the motor as I can before the weather goes. As of now,my plan is ,if evrything works out, to replace the OS160 with the Syssa in a big and draggy Black Magic VF3. I am thinking it has more guts than the OS. I really do like getting through a sequence on 3 oz. Do the math and I believe that is less than 15 cents.
