RE: Skymaster T33 First flights
Ali,
I was told the wing joining system on the T-33 is a little worrying. This being due to it not having any wing tube or rod going all the way from the one side to the other side, only two short joiners on each side of the fuselage. This has obviouisly been done before (with success I might add), ala the BVM T-33. However, this depends heavily on the fuselage integrity. How is the wing flexing in high G situations?
The other observation that I've been told about is the opening canopy poses a few problems with it's mechanism not being smooth and that it get stuck a lot. Furthermore, the component install, in conjuction with the opening canopy is a serious challenge, especially with the jet building tail heavy and very little space up front to move the components forward.
Your comments will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jan
