It sounds like you may have been too lean and the engine over heated and the glow plug burnt out.

One thing about the Raptors is that the OEM fuel line tends to go bad in a hurry in the fuel tank allowing air in and that makes the mixture go lean.

I'd check the line in the tank and replace it and also check the glow plug. Are you sure you have the needle set properly also?
