RE: Vertigo II Build Thread
Masking for red trim. I'm following along with the trim scheme that I designed in 1976 (See pic of orange/red plane). I never cared for how the orange ran up into the stab at the rear of the fuselage, although I think it came out ok for being designed by a 13 year old.
So now at 47 years, I finally came up with something that flows better. I have been agonizing over this one detail for two years now. Looking at the new plane, you can figure that the strip in the middle will be the white base color, with red above it, as well as below, extending from the wing. It still follows the old design, but the red meets the stabilizer in a more fluid way, while retaining a sort of 70's feel, with the red flowing up up the fin in an organic kind of way.
