No, you just have to give up "flying planes" as your hobby and make "doing reviews" your hobby. I can't remember the last time I just went "Flying". It's either testing or video taping a new plane - Then, I rarely ever get to fly that one again. I keep a good supply of favorites around, but I don't get to fly them nearly often enough!
You don't need to be an "expert", but you DO need to be a writer, photographer, videographer, and know enough about HTML to put a web page together.
Piece of cake!
I can vouch for this fact. Iquit doing reviews so Ican cover events and for the first time in 4 years Iwas actually able to put something of my own on my bench to work on!!!!!! It's very easy to get swamped with reviews and then that becomes your job. It takes a very special talent to continue to do them and not get burned out. Minn seems to be the expert at it. But Iknow that he does enjoy flying a plane of his own once in a while. In fact, last summer he called me up on the phone.
Ken: Hello
Mike:Hey Ken, this is Mike. Guess where I'm at?
Ken:Where?
Mike:At the flying field flying my plane!
Ken:So what!
Mike:No, you don't understand. I'm actually flying MYOWNplane, not a review plane!!!!!!It's weird being out here flying without a video camera pointed at the planewhile I'm flying!!!!
While this is paraphrased it is an actual phone call Igot from Mike last summer!!!!!
