RE: Cheap, Wooden, and 3D?
I have a christen eagle with a 38" span an a nippy black 1812 (450) that I've flown in 10 mph winds.
Hobby king sells the pitts version for like a 120 just drop in your batt an rx. you can even it it an several extra batts for under 200.
I has quite a following over at rcgroups.
Lotta guys flying them
Now for flying in the wind I love to take my 40 size twist with an OS 61 on it.
it's a blast flying it backwards in a 25 mph wind
And now I'm thinking of a 30cc mx goldwing that runs on weedeater gas.
It'll fly in 25 mph to
Now they got the dle 20 that uses weedeater gas that you can put in 90 to 120 size planes
