We use 225s in Quickees and Quarter 40s all the time. They work very well for this application. I have purchased more than a 100 of them, and use them regulary on my racing planes.

$40 seems expensive though. I buy them for about $24 at the local hobby store. I only use the Nylon geared version. The metal gears get sloppy to fast, and they are quite a bit heavier.
